JOB TITLE: Technician I – Warehouse

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Facilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for general warehouse duties and production assistance. Position will be exposed to drug materials and will need to be able to handle weights of approximately 25 kg (55 lbs.), wear respirator, safety glasses and protective foot wear. Work cross functionally within the organization to facilitate the successful completion of all development projects and meet the objectives and goals of Xcelience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Daily cleaning and operation of the GMP warehouse 

• Proper handing and disposal of Hazardous and Pharmaceutical Waste generated by the facility

• Training on Warehouse and Facility SOPs

• Receipt of all materials received by the facility

• Maintaining logbooks for the receipt of all materials and daily warehouse operations

• Taking samples of the GMP materials as needed by QAU and for dispensing of materials to production

• Delivery of received items to the proper department

• Maintaining the MSDS file for all materials

• Maintaining the Pharmacy area and all logs associated with the warehouse and sampling area

• Material reconciliation

• Assisting the production department when needed

• Shipping of materials from the facility

• Staging and Destaging materials needed for production uses

• Inspection of packaging components for compliance with the specifications

• Writing specifications for packaging materials and components

• Maintain a positive, professional, and confidential relationship with sponsors

• Comply with all state and federal regulatory requirements and guidelines

• Perform additional project related or administrative assignments as requested by management

EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSES MINIMALLY REQUIRED

• HS diploma or GED, AAS preferred

• 3 – 5 years previous experience in warehouse shipping & receiving and building maintenance

• Able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs)

• Computer literate

• Hazardous Waste Management Certification

• DOT Hazardous Material Handling Certification
